Dr. Michael Campbell

Visiting Professor

Dr. Campbell is an expert in combatting foreign malign influence campaigns. Within government, he has published extensively and taught several courses on this topic to US agencies and partners around the world for the past two decades. Prior to his government service, he taught in the Departments of History and International Studies at the University of Washington, where he earned his doctorate in history in 2003. His dissertation, A Crisis of Democracy: Czechoslovakia and the Rise of Sudeten German Nationalism, explores the connection between minority policy and national security. He has also published articles on the role of propaganda in fomenting ethnic conflict. He earned his masters in history from the University of Washington and his bachelors in history from Occidental College.
