Mr. Gifford C. Haddock

Director of Operations

Mr. Haddock joined Eisenhower School as a Title V DoD civilian, Director of Operations, in February 2022. A U.S. Army retiree, his assignment history consisted of operational, forward stationed, and deployed assignments except for a tour of duty in Tampa Bay, Florida. He conducted or supported multiple combat and security interest deployments for the DoD in Asia, east Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Inclusive of this were four (4) completed joint tour assignments, four (4) combat deployments, and +/- 30 countries.

ISAF – Kabul & Kandahar, Afghanistan; Tajikistan; Norway USAFRICOM – US Embassy Kampala; Horn of Africa (HOA) / Djibouti Special Operations Command – Republic of Korea Army Materiel Command – Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia US Forces Korea – 8th Army, 19th Support Command, Saipan US Army Europe – Slavinski Brod, Croatia; Taszar, Hungary; Sarajevo, Bih 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) – Ft Sherman, Panama; Haiti I Corps Forward & US Army Japan – Zama; Okinawa; Thailand

Unique skills & accomplishments include: a loving and strong family, multiple DoD “firsts,” published author (1 book), climbing Mount Fuji, explosive safety, on & off-road driving (desert), scuba diving (sea), light Infantry operations (airborne Ranger), marksmanship, ½ marathons, a master’s degree in management, and hybrid commissioning (USMA & ROTC). Decorations included the Legion of Merit, the DMSM, and the Bronze Star.

Previous assignment was as Deputy Commander, Iowa Army Ammunition Plant (IAAAP), Joint Munitions Command (JMC). The IAAAP modernizes munitions, manufactures and ships medium- and large-caliber ammunition items, produces warheads, and conducts development and testing.
