COL Kenneth C. Bradford, USA

Assistant Professor

Colonel Kenneth C. Bradford graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in May 1996 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps, branch detailed to the Armor Corps.

Upon completion of the Officer Basic Course at FT Knox, Kentucky in 1996, COL Bradford was assigned to 2-67 Armor Battalion (later 2-37 Armor Battalion), 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division in Friedberg, Germany, where he served as a Tank Platoon Leader. In 1997, COL Bradford deployed to the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia as a member of the United Nations Preventative Deployment Force tasked with conducting peacekeeping operations. Following re-deployment, he served as the Battalion S4 until November 1999.

After graduating from the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course in September 2000, COL Bradford served as the Brigade Maintenance Officer and later Assistant Brigade S4 in 1st Brigade, 2d Infantry Division at Camp Casey, Korea. In October 2001, he became the Assistant Brigade S4, and later the Brigade S4 of 2d Brigade, 1st Armored Division in Baumholder, Germany. After deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in April 2003, he assumed command of Alpha Company, 47th Forward Support Battalion, 2d Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division in Baghdad, Iraq. Following company command, COL Bradford served in 1st Recruiting Brigade as the Assistant Brigade S3 at FT Meade, Maryland.

Upon graduation from the Command and General Staff College in December 2007, COL Bradford relocated to FT Lewis, Washington where he served as the Support Operations Officer in the 296th Brigade Support Battalion of the 3d Brigade, 2d Infantry Division. In July 2009, COL Bradford deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baquba, Iraq as the 296th Brigade Support Battalion Executive Officer. Following re-deployment, COL Bradford moved to Stuttgart, Germany in February 2012 where he served in Special Operations Command Europe as the J4 Chief of Plans and Operations.

In January 2013 COL Bradford assumed command of the Regimental Support Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment. He deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan between July 2013 and April 2014. In August 2014 he moved to Fort Carson, Colorado and became the Chief of Sustainment, Division G4, for the 4th Infantry Division. In July 2015 he moved to Washington DC as a student in the National War College. Upon graduation, in June 2016, COL Bradford became Military Faculty at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy where he taught Defense Strategy and Resourcing and an Industry Study on Biotechnology. COL Bradford assumed command of the 916th Support Brigade, National Training Center, in June 2018. In July 2020, COL Bradford returned to The Eisenhower School as Military Faculty where he teaches Mobilization and the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Study.

COL Bradford holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Citadel The Military College of South Carolina, a Master of Science degree in Management from Webster University and a Master of Science degree in National Security Strategy from the National War College. COL Bradford’s awards and decorations include the Parachutist Badge, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (two OLCs), Defense Meritorious Service Medal (OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (four OLCs), Army Commendation Medal (four OLCs) and Army Achievement Medal (two OLCs).

COL Bradford is married to the former Janelle Greenlaw of Oceanside, California and together they have three children: Jillian, Benjamin and Katherine.
