Colonel Stavely is a Military Instructor assigned to the Eisenhower School at the National Defense University in Washington D.C. Colonel Stavely was born in Boulder, Colorado. He graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology and then entered the Air Force in November 2004 as a graduate of Officer's Training School. He has been in the Air Force for 20 years, and has been assigned to Air Combat Command, Air Force Global Strike Command, and Air Education and Training Command in B -52 and T-6 flying assignments. Colonel Stavely is a Foreign Area Officer with a Latin American Specialty, certified after graduating from Intermediate Developmental Education in Bogotá, Colombia. His first staff assignment was in the Middle East Directorate of Strategy Plans and Policy, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington D.C as a Political-Military Strategist. Prior to his current assignment, the colonel was assigned to Headquarters United States Air Force Staff for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration (A10) as the Deputy Division Chief for Policy. ,
