Colonel Russell Badowski is a faculty member at the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, National Defense University, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, DC. He is a command pilot with over 2,300 hours in the T-38, F-15C/D, MC-12 and F-22.
Colonel Badowski has multiple operational tours with deployments to INDOPACOM and CENTCOM and he has commanded at the squadron level in the F-22. His staff experience includes Headquarters Air Force, where he supported the Air Force’s Planning, Programming, Budgeting, & Execution cycle, and at Pacific Air Forces where he was an operational planner focused on competition with the People’s Republic of China.
His educational experience includes an Economics degree from the University of Chicago and a Master’s of Business Administration from Duke University. Colonel Badowski was also a distinguished graduate from both Air Command and Staff College in 2015 and the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy in 2024.
