CAPT Shani LeBlanc, USN

Assistant Professor

Captain LeBlanc a native of Rosepine, LA, and is a 1992 graduate of Rosepine High School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1998 and was commissioned in 1999 through Officer Candidate School as an Ensign in the Navy Supply Corps. She received her master’s degree in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary in May 2011. She is also a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College distance education JPME Phase I program and the Joint and Combined Warfighting School JPME Phase II program.

Upon completing the Supply Corps Basic Qualification Course in Athens, GA. CAPT LeBlanc’s initial sea tour was on the USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19), Yokosuka, Japan where she served as Disbursing Officer, Sales Officer and Food Service Officer. Her additional sea tour was as the Supply Department Head aboard USS BUNKER HILL (CG 52), San Diego, California. Additionally, CAPT LeBlanc deployed in a Global Support Assignment (GSA) in 2008 where she served as the Future Operations Surface Officer for the CENTCOM Deployment and Distribution Operations Center (CDDOC), Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

Captain LeBlanc’s shore duty assignments include: Assistant Supply Officer, NAS Meridian, Mississippi; Data Analyst, Shipboard Services, and Stock Control, Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific Fleet, San Diego, California; V-22/H-53 Weapons Systems Support Officer (WSSO), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Richmond, Virginia; LCDR Detailer and “Pit Boss”, Navy Personal Command (OP/PERS 4412), Millington, Tennessee; Executive Officer, Navy Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistic Center (NAVSUP FLC) Pearl Harbor; and Commander, Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Indo-Pacific.

Captain LeBlanc is a qualified Naval Aviation Supply Corps Officer and Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer. Her personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit and service awards.
