Dr. Brian Buckles, serves as the Associate Dean of Faculty and Academic Planning, Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, Ft. McNair, Washington D. C. Dr. Buckles is a retired Marine Corps Colonel who served 28 years in various operational, educational, program management, and weapon system development billets. His experience focused on amphibious and light armored vehicles. He participated in Operation Desert Shield (Saudi Arabia), Operation Desert Storm (Kuwait), the Global War on Terrorism (Iraq), and counter-drug operations (US). He has Bachelor of Science Degrees in Cartography and Geography (University of Idaho, 1987), a Master of Science Degree in Management (Defense Systems Analysis)(Naval Postgraduate School, 1999), and a Doctor of Science in Information Systems and Communications (Robert Morris University, 2017). He has also served as a National Security Affairs Fellow, Hoover Institution, Stanford University (2005-2006). Dr. Buckles is DAWIA Level III Certified in Test and Evaluation (T&E); Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering (SPRDE); and Program Management (PM). He also has a professional certification in Advanced Project Management from Stanford University, and a certification in Test and Evaluation from Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI). Dr. Buckles joined the Eisenhower School in 2012, and remained on faculty after retiring from the Marine Corps in 2015.
