Welcome to the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. I extend my warmest welcome and congratulations to all of you at the beginning of this incredible academic year at the Eisenhower School. Your selection to attend the nation's premier national security and resource strategy institution at the National Defense University recognizes your potential to serve at the highest levels of your organization as a strategic leader.

The Eisenhower School is a catalyst to accelerate change. Our vision is simple -- an unwavering commitment to academic excellence in order that this school remains the nation's premier national security and resource strategy institution. The Eisenhower School thrives on creativity, innovation, teamwork, and a passion for learning. You will explore the dynamic changes in our global operating environment, embrace and understand new joint warfighting concepts; and grow into tomorrow's strategic leaders. During your year, you will participate in a tailored executive leadership program focused on political, diplomatic, social, economic, technological, and military factors impacting the policy and strategy formulation process.

The Class of 2025 marks 101 years since the school's founding, originally known as the Army Industrial College. Since 1924, the enduring purpose of the College has been to develop senior leaders who are well versed harnessing our societal and economic strengths into usable elements of national power. Our challenging curriculum is designed to give rising leaders the necessary tools to influence policy decisions and allocate resources in support of National Security Strategy at the executive level. Your scholastic journey will be characterized by intensity, academic rigor, diversity of thought, the exchange of cultures and ideas, and seemingly endless learning opportunities.

In addition to the exciting and demanding professional development activities we offer; you will have the opportunity to engage in social and athletic programs and build lifelong relationships with a diverse mix of classmates. While the academic rigor associated with the Eisenhower School experience requires considerable work, there will be ample opportunities for meaningful experiences in other areas. The keys to an enjoyable and productive year are self-discipline, time management, and balance. Please take advantage of what the Eisenhower School experience has to offer!

On behalf of our faculty and staff, congratulations and welcome to the Eisenhower School once again. You will find your time throughout the University to be professionally rewarding and personally satisfying. We want you to succeed and look forward to sharing this special year with you and your family. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the faculty and staff.
