CAPT Timothy M. Brosnan, USN

Assistant Professor

Captain Brosnan joined the Eisenhower School faculty in 2025 after serving at the National War College as an Assistant Professor of National Security Strategy and the Dean of Students.  Graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1995, he spent his career in EP-3E Fleet Air Reconnaissance and Special Projects squadrons providing intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) support to Fleet and Combatant Commanders in the INDOPACOM, CENTCOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, and SOUTHCOM areas of responsibility. 

Captain Brosnan’s staff tours include Chief of the Joint Doctrine Branch for the Joint Staff J-7, EP-3E/Special Projects Aircraft Requirements Officer for Chief of Naval Operations N98, Chairman of the NATO Joint Capability Group on ISR, and Chief of Staff of the Ground Enterprise Directorate for the National Reconnaissance Office. 

Captain Brosnan holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and National Security Strategy from the National War College.
