Dr. Stacey A. Pilling

Visiting Professor/Defense Logistics Agency Chair

Dr. Stacey A. Pilling joined the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy in May 2025, where she serves as an Associate Professor in the National Security Industrial Base Department. She teaches foundational courses and transportation and logistics, drawing on more than 12 years of civilian leadership and logistics experience.

Prior to her faculty appointment, Dr. Pilling served as the Director of Carbon Pollution-Free Electricity at DLA Energy. In this role, she led strategic initiatives supporting the Department of Defense’s transition to clean energy, including coordination with the Council on Environmental Quality and the Office of the Secretary of Defense to align federal sustainability objectives with national security priorities. Her broader career with the Defense Logistics Agency includes leadership positions such as Chief of Staff for Logistics Operations (J3), Director of Resource Management at DLA Disposition Services, and supervisory roles in operations and environmental compliance. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, human capital management, and organizational transformation.

Dr. Pilling has also taught graduate-level public health courses at Southern New Hampshire University for over a decade. Her instructional focus includes environmental health, health policy, and public health systems, with an emphasis on connecting academic learning to real-world challenges.

She holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from Walden University, an M.S. in National Security and Resource Strategy from the National Defense University, and an M.S. in Environmental Policy from Michigan Technological University. Dr. Pilling is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force.
