Col David has had a diverse career in service and Joint assignments, across all disciplines of intelligence, and with the interagency. He has commanded from the platoon to the regimental level, most recently with Marine Corps Cyberspace Warfare Group under Marine Forces Cyber Command. He has extensive Fleet Marine Force experience, has served on the Joint Staff, with the staff of U.S. Central Command, and with the Defense Intelligence Agency and State Department.
Col David holds Masters degrees in Strategic Intelligence and in Hemispheric Defense and Security from the Inter American Defense College. He is also a graduate of the French Capstone Course (Centre des Hautes Études Militaires), the Spanish Staff College (Escuela Superior de las Fuerzas Armadas), Air War College, MIT’s Seminar XXI, Joint Forces Staff College, and the Marine Corps Command and Staff and Amphibious Warfare Schools with professional proficiency in Spanish, French, and European and Brazilian Portuguese.
Before coming to the Eisenhower School, Col David was the Division Head for the Intelligence Division (M2) of Headquarters Marine Corps under the Deputy Commandant for Information. He and his family live in Falls Church, Virginia.
