Ms. Alexandra Navarro Nasif

Private Sector Department Chair

Alexandra Navarro Nasif serves as Private Sector Department Chair for National Defense University. In this role, she serves as a liaison between the school and private sector companies, provides an industry interface to the school’s faculty and students, and advises on innovation-based curriculum development.

Alexandra is IBM Consulting America’s AI Practice Leader. She works across IBM’s commercial and Government markets to drive IBM Consulting’s AI strategy, technical direction, and practice growth in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. In this role, she also serves as a member of IBM’s Responsible Technology Board. Previously, Alexandra worked for IBM Research as Director of Government Programs.

A graduate of National Defense University’s Dwight D. Eisenhower School, Alexandra holds a Master of Science in National Security and Resource Strategy.  She is also a graduate of the University of Virginia where she earned a Bachelor of Science from the McIntire School of Commerce.

Alexandra lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and two sons. She serves on the Board of Trustees of her alma mater The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia.
