Ms. Alexandra Navarro Nasif

Private Sector Department Chair

Alexandra Navarro Nasif serves as Private Sector Department Chair for National Defense University. In this role, she serves as a liaison between the school and private sector companies, offers an industry interface to the school’s faculty and students, and advises on innovation base curriculum development.

Additionally, Alexandra serves as Director of Government Programs for IBM Research. She works across Government missions to build paths to partnership and application for IBM’s Artificial Intelligence, semiconductor, and quantum R&D activity. Prior to her role with IBM Research, Alexandra served in various leadership roles across IBM Consulting’s Defense and Intel portfolio, overseeing strategy, delivery, and business development for IBM’s national security clients.

A graduate of National Defense University’s Dwight D. Eisenhower School, Alexandra holds a Master of Science in National Security and Resource Strategy. She is also a graduate of the University of Virginia where she earned a Bachelor of Science from the McIntire School of Commerce.

Alexandra lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and two sons. She serves on the Board of Trustees of her alma mater The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia.
