Forward-thinking, initiative-taking higher education professional with experience in the Financial Service, Technology, Transportation and Public Relations industries. Dr. Angela Poulakidas has a track record of published research and in-depth knowledge of market dynamics, strategic roadmap planning, data-driven process reengineering, and partnership with public-private stakeholders. She has taught a range of business management courses in New York (City University of New York), France (Paris Chamber of Commerce), China (Ningbo Institute of Technology) and Japan (Kurume University). In addition, she has served as a trainer and consultant to U.N. managers at the United Nations System Staff College in the application of strategic decision-making frameworks to real-world challenges. Both as a teacher and working in the community, she has served as a mentor to students from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Poulakidas professional publications include articles in the Journal of Business Strategy, Maritime Policy and Management, Corporate Reputation Review, Journal of Commerce, Shipping Economist and Seatrade. She has also published in the proceedings of international conferences such as the Global Research Symposium on Marketing and Entrepreneurship, International Forum for Knowledge Asset Dynamics, and European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Her research interests include Blockchain-as-Service, China, Entrepreneurship, Venture Capital, IPOs and Cooperative Education.
Dr. Poulakidas was awarded her Doctorate in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She also has a Master in International Management from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management, and a B.S. from Indiana University.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking and Blues dancing.
