Colonel Troy V. Alexander is Faculty at the Eisenhower School, National Defense University, where he develops senior military and civilian leaders in national security strategy and resource management. A Riverside, California native, he commissioned through New Mexico Military Institute in 1995 and entered active duty as an Adjutant General Officer with Infantry branch detail. He holds a BA in Political Science, an MA in Human Resource Management, a postgraduate certificate in International Relations, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His career spans multinational, joint, interagency, and strategic assignments across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Most recently, he served as Policy Chief, Soldier Career, Boards and Selections Division (Army G-1), overseeing enterprise-wide talent management. Previous key assignments include Commander, U.S. Army NATO Brigade; Headquarters Commandant, U.S. Africa Command; Commander, Recruiting Battalion Southern California; and Chief, Enlisted Force Sustainment Division, HRC. Colonel Alexander is a recipient of the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, and other distinguished awards. He is married and the proud father of three children.
