Dr. Christine Saba

Acting Director of Institutional Research

Christine Saba, Ed.D., is an institutional research professional with nearly 20 years of experience in education, specializing in program assessment, faculty development, and learning analytics. For the past two years, she has served in the Office of Institutional Research at the College of Information and Cyberspace (CIC), where she has led the expansion of assessment practices from a single master’s program to a comprehensive portfolio encompassing all CIC academic programs, including multiple online, in-residence, and hybrid certificates.

In this role, Dr. Saba collaborated with faculty and leadership to design, implement, and evaluate assessment strategies that support continuous improvement and program learning outcomes. She provided professional development to faculty, fostering a culture of assessment and strengthening capacity in areas such as Blackboard course design, rubric development, and gradebook management.

Her broader academic experience includes instructional design and teaching across in-person, online, and hybrid learning environments. She has worked within diverse educational contexts, including International Baccalaureate (IB), mastery-based learning, and Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) systems. In addition, she serves as an adjunct qualitative dissertation chair for Liberty University’s PhD program in the School of Education and has taught graduate-level courses in qualitative and action research methods. She also served as a seminar lead for CIC’s strategic thinking and communication course.

Dr. Saba holds a Doctor of Education (2021) in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Education (2014) in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies (2006) from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa.

She is proud to be the spouse of U.S. Army Colonel (Ret.) Bill Saba, an alumnus of the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School. Through 12 years of overseas assignments at U.S. Embassies in Tel Aviv, Ashgabat, Ankara, Astana, and Nairobi, she brings a global perspective to her work.
