Colonel Grant L. Izzi is an Assistant Professor at The Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, where he is responsible for development and instruction of graduate-level coursework for senior military, civilian and international students. Additionally, he leads the Organic Industrial Base Industry Study, planning and managing course execution for 18 students to include interaction with senior military, government, interagency and industry executives, as well as CONUS and OCONUS field studies.
Colonel Izzi was commissioned through Officer Training School in June 1994 and attended Maintenance Officer training at Sheppard AFB, TX. He has served in various wing-level aircraft maintenance and logistics leadership positions, earning his maintenance badge through experience on C-141, C-17, F-15C/E, C-5, KC-135 and C- 130 aircraft, as well as munitions. His command assignments include the 6th Maintenance Squadron at MacDill AFB, FL, the 317th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Dyess AFB, TX and the 22d Maintenance Group at McConnell AFB, KS. His staff assignments include tours at HQ Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB IL, as well as HQ Air Force and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Pentagon, Washington DC. Col Izzi’s combat support experience includes Operations ALLIED FORCE, and deployments in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and NEW DAWN.
